Valerio Filardo is a director and screenwriter from Sicily, Italy. After attending primary school in Palermo, he moves to Bologna for graduate studies in Cinema and Media at DAMS and then to Rome for attending the Cinema Academy in Cinecittà, where he specializes in Film direction. After a short experience as First Assistant in a small Tv production company based in Rome, he moves to London, where he lives for almost 6 years and where he jumps into the audiovisual freelancing industry playing different roles. In 2016 he moves back to Italy. In addition to several commercials and music video clips (most of them broadcasted both on Mtv Italia and MTV UK), we find three short films: “L’Oro del Sud” (2018), “Sarino” (2019), and “Tana libera tutti” (2022).
