Karin, an Israeli human rights lawyer, finds herself babysitting Nasrin, the 12-year-old daughter of her Palestinian client, for a day. While Karin is busy dealing with bureaucracy, she doesn’t notice that Nasrin is in distress. In order to help Nasrin, Karin will have to find maternal empathy she didn’t know she has inside her.

noa's bio

Noa Gusakov is an award-winning filmmaker, currently based in Tel Aviv, Israel. Noa graduated from Sam Spiegel Film School, Jerusalem. Her writing and directing credits include 6 short films which have collectively screened at over 100 film festivals and won numerous awards. Her graduation film "Lookout" was selected as one of the 30 Best Films of Sam Spiegel, and was screened at the Berlinale. Two of her short films, "Large Soldier" and "How to Swim" were nominated for the Israeli Academy Awards for Best Short Film. The screenplay for "Large Soldier", was developed at the Berlinale Short Film Station. "How to Swim" had its international premier at the Palm Springs ShortFest and was selected as a Vimeo Staff Pick. Noa is also a television creator, and a winner of an Israeli Academy Award for Best Direction in Teen Drama Series and two awards for Best Screenplay for Teen Drama Series. In the last years she received fellowships for writing in the MacDowell Colony, New Hampshire and in Yaddo, New York. Noa is currently working as a screenwriter and director for TV productions and developing her debut feature film.
