Giuseppe Cardaci is a director and filmmaker from Catania with a degree in Graphic Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Catania and specialized in Film and New Media at Naba of Milan. The musical theme is often recurring in his productions, including his debut short film: “Carmen” (2015) made at the Film School of Santa Fe University of Art and Design. Back from the United States he directed “Italia” (2017), a musical feature film project that at the moment has been produced as a shortfilm. After “Italia”, he directed two new short films: “Two and a half months” (2018) starring Anna Ferzetti, Orsetta Borghero and Alessandro Tedeschi and “A family tradition” (2019) starring Ivano Marescotti, Matilde Gioli and Erica Del Bianco. These shortfilms were made for the cinema magazine Ciak and the Mini Italia car brand, with the production “Officine Fare Cinema e Anteo ”and the artistic supervision of the italian director Silvio Soldini. During the lockdown he made a mini web series produced by PLUS S.R.L, “#RESRENDIAMOCI, storie di italiani che si rialzano”, in which this period was documented through video testimonies, collected in stories with different emotional shades. In 2021 he finished the post production of the short film “Like snow” with the collaboration of “HomeMovies - Archivio nazionale di famiglia”; moreover in 2022, with PLUS S.R.L., he finished the production of a new short-film: “Ad Alma”.
