The ‘Ranqueles’ are an aboriginal community of natives, that has survived the extermination made by the Argentinian Nation at the end of 19th century. A trip through gold and desolated fields, recovering their ancestral sounds and the empower of the woman in those communities.
El documental relata la actualidad de las comunidades indígenas ranqueles que han sobrevivido al exterminio producido por el Estado Argentino a fines del siglo XIX. Es un viaje por paisajes dorados y desolados, recuperando sus sonidos ancestrales y con la mujer ranquel como protagonista.

María Sabaidini was born at Santa Rosa, La Pampa, in 1966. In 1986 she moves to Buenos Aires to study Biology. In 1993 she comes back to her birth town through the National Part Lihu Calel, a sacred place for the native people of La Pampa. She researches its history and films it. From 1996 to 2004 she is part of Cuyum Vuta Wentru a social project where she meets Ana Maria Dominguez (machi ranquel). In 2000 she studies filmmaking working on several short films. In 2013 she becomes a teacher of audiovisual design at University. Eymi Newengi is her first film.
