Dritëro, a passionate filmmaker from Prishtina, Kosovo, was born on November 15, 1986. He obtained a Bachelor's degree in Film Directing from the Faculty of Arts in Prishtina in 2016, followed by a Master's degree in Film and TV Directing from FAMU International in Prague in 2022. Embarking on his creative journey, Dritëro shot his first documentary film in 2005 and has since dedicated himself to crafting impactful short fictions, documentaries, commercials, and music videos. Throughout his career, he has been fortunate to receive recognition for his work. In 2016, Dritëro's short fiction film titled "A Performance" was honored with the "Best National Short" award at the acclaimed DokuFest, the International Documentary and Short Film Festival in Prizren, Kosovo. In 2018, his music video "Oborri - Gjuj me dritë" received the "Best Music Video" award at the Ca' Foscari Short Film Festival in Venezia, Italy. In 2019, he gratefully received another "Best National Film" award from Dokufest for his remarkable short fiction film titled "Pick a Name." Dritëro remains grateful for the opportunities he has had and continues to grow as a filmmaker.
