On her last day behind the diner counter, Sara is preparing to leave her small town. Denis watches her, trying to hold on to what they both fear losing. In a crystallized and suspended landscape, their farewell reveals the depth of their bond and the poignant intensity of their separation.

Fabio's bio

Fabio Bobbio (Turin, Italy, 1980). Director, editor and editing professor, he studied communication at the University of Ferrara and cinema at the Observatorio de Cine in Buenos Aires (Argentina). From 2007 to 2013 he lived in Barcelona (Spain) where he worked as a director and editor for cinema and television. He was professor and coordinator of the film editing area of La casa del cine (Barcelona), professor of documentary editing at the Observatorio de Cine in Barcelona. Currently teaches film editing at Sentieri Selvaggi School in Rome, and documentary editing at CSC (Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia) in Palermo. I Cormorani (Strani Film, 2016), is his first feature film as a director, presented at Visions du Rèel and in various international festivals, nominated for the Nastri d’Argento 2017 as best docufilm, winner of the Doc It Award as best production and designated Film of the Critics by the Sindacato Nazionale Critici Cinematografici Italiani SNCCI. Distributed in theaters by Strani Film and in home video by Cecchi Gori Entertainment, it is currently available on major on-line’s platforms included Prime Video and MUBI Italia. He is currently developing his second feature film, I Fuochi, produced by Ginko Film and the short film Restare, produced by Ginko Film, Filmine, Malfè Film with the support of the Film Commission Torino Piemonte – Short Film Fund. As film editor he collaborated with several directors (Ricardo Iscar, Alicia Cano, Daniel Villamediana, Mirko Locatelli, Eleonora Mastropietro, Ainara Vera, Samuele Sestieri, Andrea Grasselli, Danilo Monte among others) and production companies in Italy, Spain, Argentina, Uruguay, Portugal and France. With La Vida Sublime (2010) by Daniel Villamediana he participated competing at the Festival Internazionale del Film di Locarno, Viennale and Bafici; for the director Mirko Locatelli he edited I corpi estranei (2013), presented in competition at the Festival Internazionale del Film di Roma, Isabelle (2018), in competition at the Montreal World Film Festival and La memoria del mondo (2022) presented at 40° Torino Film Festival. Lumina (2021) by Samuele Sestieri was presented at the International Film Festival Rotterdam and at Mostra Internazionale del Nuovo Cinema di Pesaro.
